SwissLitho – Rapid Nanofabrication

SwissLitho is a young high-tech company with roots that can be traced directly back to IBM. They have developed ground-breaking technology that will change the way nanostructures are can be fabricated.

Their NanoFrazor platform for rapid prototyping of nanostructures can simultaneously produce and measure/image patterns and structures with nanosized geometries. It also has numerous advantages and is an evolutionary step beyond more common techniques such as Electron Beam Lithography which has been around for nearly 50 years.

Patented Technology

They are a tool manufacturer with unique patented technology. Their main product is the NanoFrazor Explore that is able to produce nanopatterns and nanostructures using thermal responsive resists.

The SwissLitho Team

Their team has been recruited from across the world to ensure they have the most desirable skill sets. They currently employ physicists, material scientists and software and electrical engineers from 10 different countries.

History

1995 – Millipede project commences
2010 – Proof-of-principle for the NanoFrazer technology
2012 – SwissLitho founded by Dr. Philip Paul and Dr. Felix Holzner
2014 – First NanoFrazer Explore installation

Awards

The SwissLitho team has been the recipient of numerous prestigious startup and technology awards, as well as having been the recipient of over CHF 500,000in prize money. These awards include:

  • Venture Kick Awards (2011 & 2012)
  • McKinsey Venture Award (2012)
