Training Services for Operators, Applications & Service
AXT offers a number of training services. These are provided by both in-house experts and specialists from our suppliers. We can also tailor packages to your specific requirements to help you get the most out of your instrument in terms of uptime and quality data.
New Instrument Training
As part of a new instrument sale we include operator training. It is our mission to try and help you to get the most out of your investment and we love hearing stories about work, results and research that you have done using instruments and equipment that we have supplied.
For this reason AXT provides operator training immediately or shortly after installation has been completed.
Application Training
AXT also offers a range of other training courses to help educate you about various technologies. By providing you with increased knowledge, we hope to empower you with the ability to produce better data and generate results faster.
Some of the courses that we offer include:
- XRD X-Ray Diffraction
- XRF X-Ray Fluorescence
- SEM Scanning Electron Microscopy
These courses can be carried out on a one to one basis or small class groups.
Specific Applications Coaching
For those of you who already have a basic or more advanced level of understanding about your instrument and the technology, we also offer coaching and education to help you better understand your system and how your instrument can produce higher quality data. Where required it may also entail training on sample preparation, instrument calibration and data interpretation.
This type of training is usually carried out on a one on one basis but can also be done in small groups.

Frontline Service Training
AXT also train technical staff to be able identify and solve basic problems as well as being able to carry out basic preventative maintenance routines. This empowers you with the skills to reduce your reliance on service engineers and maximise your instruments’ uptime, allowing your research colleagues to generate as much data as possible.
