Nanolive Win De Vigier Prize for Swiss Made Groundbreaking Technologies

Yesterday, May 19th 2016 Nanolive won, together with other four Swiss start-ups, the W.A. de Vigier Prize. The De Vigier Award is one of the oldest awards for young entrepreneurs in Switzerland and has attributed 100,000 CHF to five entrepreneurs every year for the last 27 years.

Roughly 200 Swiss start-ups submitted their projects for the awards of 2016. “This year the candidates were even better than usual”, declared Sven Hoffmann, member of the board and the jury.

NanoLive developed an until now unique tomographic microscope that allows the study of living cells in 3D. It is able to carry out these studies without damaging the cells that are being examined. With the 3D Cell Explorer cellular activity is comprehensively represented in real time and in an unprecedented resolution. The affordable price will make it most possible to explore in schools, laboratories and universities living cells and to interact with them.

The 3D Cell Explorer is a high speed, high resolution and non-invasive microscope that enables you to peer deep inside biological and cellular systems. researchers can record stunning 3D images with exquisite detail. It is able to image entire cells and tissue slices in a matter of seconds. Furthermore, it images at a higher resolution compared to any conventional microscope on the market.

The 3D Cell Explorer is the result of several years of hard work, development, innovation and an obsession to detail. With the 3D Cell Explorer, researchers, students and medical doctors can directly view exactly what happens inside living cells in real time!

The event was reported on by many different local media channels.

The Nanolive 3D Cell Explorer is available in Australia and New Zealand exclusively through AXT.
